On a recent announcement, Walmart announced that they will be raising wages and investing in careers for more than 7,000 opticians and pharmacists. On top of pay raises, Walmart also developed and launched an optician development program and increased free mental health sessions. Over 104,000 associates have participated in the Live Better U Education program to this day. The Live Better U Education program has saved associates nearly half a billion in tuition costs in the past 5 years.
