The Congressional Hispanic Leadership Insitute Announces Fall 2025 Global Leaders

Washington, D.C– Today, the Congressional Hispanic Leadership Institute (CHLI) announced the Fall 2025 Global Leaders class. These exceptional individuals were chosen for the Global Leaders program because they have demonstrated outstanding leadership potential and a commitment to advancing the Hispanic community.

CHLI’s Global Leaders program is designed for college students and recent graduates to connect with experienced leaders in the public and private sectors, develop their skills, gain hands on experience, and advance the Hispanic community’s diversity of thought. The program focuses on developing the participants’ leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills through internship placements on Capitol Hill and corporate partners.

“I’m excited to welcome this new cohort of Global Leaders and look forward to seeing how they will grow during their time in Washington this Fall. With guidance from CHLI’s alumni network and partners, this group will go on to make meaningful contributions in their communities and beyond.” said Chairwoman of CHLI, The Honorable Ileana Ros-Lehtinen.

Alyssa Franco, University of Michigan, Class of 2025; CHLI Congressional Placement: Rep. Nicole Malliotakis (NY)

Sofia Giraldo, Florida International University, Class of 2026; CHLI Congressional Placement: Rep. Mario Diaz-Balart (FL)

Jahselyn Medina Gonzalez, Washington University in St. Louis, Class of 2025; CHLI Congressional Placement: Rep. Jasmine Crockett (TX)

Jasmine Torres, Loyola Marymount University, Class of 2025; CHLI Congressional Placement: Rep. Juan Vargas (CA)
