The Congressional Hispanic Leadership Institute Announces Summer 2026 Law Fellows

Philip Brooks and Vanessa Carter

Washington, D.C.—The Congressional Hispanic Leadership Institute (CHLI) has proudly welcomed its 2026 Summer Law Fellows. Throughout the summer, these accomplished law students will gain firsthand legal and public policy experience while developing the skills and professional connections needed to become future leaders in the legal profession.

CHLI’s Summer Law Fellowship is a two-month program that provides first- and second-year law students from accredited law schools across the United States and Puerto Rico with hands-on experience in the legal field through placements at leading law firms, lobbying firms, corporations, and public policy organizations. The program equips fellows with practical legal experience while fostering professional development, expanding their networks, and preparing them to become the next generation of Hispanic leaders.

“Our Summer Law Fellows represent the future of the legal profession. The Summer Law Fellowship provides talented students with invaluable opportunities to strengthen their legal skills, learn from experienced professionals, and build lasting relationships across the legal and public policy communities. We are thrilled to welcome this year’s fellows and look forward to seeing the impact they will make during the program and in the years ahead,” said The Honorable Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, CHLI Chairwoman.
