Maytee began her public service career in 1987 joining then State Senator Ileana Ros-Lehtinen’s legislative staff. In 1997, she began her track to administrative leadership becoming Deputy District Director, Regional Director, Deputy Chief of Staff and in January of 2016 became Ros-Lehtinen’s Chief of Staff until retirement in 2019. As Chief of Staff, Maytee maintained focus on the Member’s legislative priorities including foreign policy directives related to Cuba, Venezuela, Israel, and other legislative priorities as well as district-based legislative concerns. In addition, Maytee attended a wide variety of events and conferences with and without the Member accumulating a diverse and large network of contacts.
While in Congress, Maytee earned both a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Master of Science in National Security Affairs from Nova Southeastern University.
