Aliyah Hernandez is a senior at Florida International University, majoring in Psychology with a minor in Criminal Justice. As a first-generation college student, she is passionate about public service, national security, and creating a positive impact in her community.

Aliyah is currently participating in FIU’s Washington, D.C. Semester Program while serving as an Administrative and Communications Intern with the Congressional Hispanic Leadership Institute (CHLI). Through her internship, she is gaining hands-on experience in communications, event coordination, research, and nonprofit administration while expanding her understanding of leadership and public service in Washington, D.C.

Following graduation, Aliyah hopes to continue serving her country and ultimately pursue a career in federal law enforcement.
