CHLI Law Fellowship Program Application

Please read below and submit all required documents into the form below for your application to be considered complete.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Must be of 1L or 2L standing in an an accredited school in the United States
  • Must be fully available during program dates
  • All persons selected must be able to validate their identity and elegibility to work in the United States

Required Documents

  • Copy of an academic transcript
  • Cover letter
  • Resume
  • Two letters of recommendation
  • Personal statement 600-800 words

Application Instructions

Applications for the Summer 2023 Law Fellowship open on February 27 and close on March 27, 2023, at 10:00 pm EST

  1. Complete online application (below).
  2. Cover letter: One page letter describing what you hope to gain from the program.
  3. Resume: Must include academic and professional background, and extracurricular activities.
  4. Two letters of recommendation: Can be from a professor or employer. The letter must be included in your application or sent directly by the recommender via email to CHLI’s Senior Internship Programs Manager, Nicole Marín at nmarin@chli.org.
  5. Personal statement: In approximately 600-800 words, describe your family, work, educational, and community experience that led you to apply to the CHLI Law Felllowship Program. How do these experiences relate to your long-term goals? How will you continue your leadership within the community?
