Tealanie Baldwin is the Manager of Government Policy and Affairs at Capital One. Her portfolio includes employment, financial access and inclusion, privacy, and other financial services matters. Prior to joining Capital One, she was on the Federal Government Affairs team at Guardian Life Insurance where her legislative portfolio spanned across a diverse number of sectors including financial services, financial technology, health care, labor and workforce. Outside of her Government Affairs work, Tealanie is a JD candidate in the evening division program at Georgetown Law, focusing on corporate and securities law.

Tealanie’s expertise spans outside of the financial services sector, as she began her career in the Health Policy practice at Waxman Strategies, a public affairs and lobbying firm led by Congressman Henry Waxman.

Tealanie has worked to move the needle forward on critical legislation impacting a diverse number of industries. She is a goal oriented and driven individual who seeks to exceed expectations, formulate winning strategies, and develop long-lasting, meaningful relationships.
