Javier Gamboa is Senior Director of Government Relations at Business Roundtable where he conducts outreach to the U.S. Congress and the Administration to advocate for policies that promote economic growth and job creation.
Prior to joining Business Roundtable, Gamboa worked in both chambers on Capitol Hill for over eleven years, most recently as Senior Professional Staff Member for the majority at the House Select Committee on the Climate Crisis. He also worked for the majority staffs at the House Energy and Commerce Committee and the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee and was Deputy Chief of Staff and Legislative Director for several Democratic members of Congress, advising them on all policy, legislative, and procedural matters, and liaising with leadership and key caucuses.
In addition to his Congressional experience, Gamboa worked at The Trust for Public Land as Senior Legislative Representative and as Regional Political Director for the Florida Democratic Party during the 2016 presidential election.
A native of San Diego, CA and fluent Spanish speaker, Javier is a graduate of Cal State Fullerton and serves on the board of the Cal State DC Scholars internship program. He lives in Silver Spring, MD with his wife and two dogs.
