Ilia Rodriguez is the North America Inclusion and Diversity Lead for the Midwest. In her role she is focused on building off of, and expanding, an inclusive culture at Accenture. During Ilia’s tenure at Accenture, she lead outreach and advocacy initiatives for Accenture’s North America Government Relations team where she developed and implemented strategic plans to elevate and advance Accenture’s business profile, public policy priorities, and inclusion and diversity agenda. In addition, she co-managed Accenture’s Political Action Committee (PAC).
Prior to joining Accenture in 2017, Ilia served as Senior Vice President and Policy Advisor with the Daschle Group, a firm established and led by former U.S. Senate Majority Leader Tom Daschle. At the Daschle Group, Ilia managed domestic and international corporate clients representing a range of fields that included energy, transportation, and biodefense, advising them on outreach agendas and strategic partnerships. Ilia also established and managed the High-Octane Fuels Coalition (HOLC), chaired by Senator Daschle. Before Senator Daschle started the Daschle Group, Ilia served as his Senior Advisor at the law firm DLA Piper, where she managed clients in industries that included energy, transportation, healthcare, and education.
Prior to joining DLA, Ilia worked for nearly a decade in several key roles for two leading progressive social purpose non-profit organizations – People for the American Way and the Center for American Progress (CAP). At CAP, Ilia served as Vice President for Government Relations, managing legislative outreach efforts on Capitol Hill.
Ilia’s extensive experience in government began in the White House Office of Public Liaison for President William J. Clinton and continued as an appointee in the Women’s Bureau at the U.S. Department of Labor. She subsequently spent several years in the U.S. Senate working for the Democratic Leadership and then Senate Majority Leader Tom Daschle. In these key roles, Ilia gained invaluable experience collaborating with stakeholders, elected officials, and staff in the legislative and executive branches of government.
Born in Puerto Rico and raised in suburban Baltimore, Maryland, Ilia is a graduate of Pennsylvania State University with a degree in International Relations. She is married with two beautiful children and resides in Silver Spring, Maryland.
