CHLI was founded on, and guided by, one simple vision: To advance the Hispanic community’s diversity of thought--and to illuminate the future for the next generation of Hispanic leaders.
The Congressional Hispanic Leadership Institute (CHLI) is the premier organization founded by Members of Congress to advance the Hispanic Community’s Economic Progress with a focus on Social Responsibility and Global Competitiveness.
Our youth are the future leaders of our country. CHLI supports young professionals through several programs, including the Global Leaders Internship Program.
CHLI connects public service and business leaders through briefings on the Hill and networking receptions throughout the country.
CHLI honors leaders at the Annual Gala and recognizes Congressional Staff for their leadership with the Vermillion Congressional Staff Appreciation Award.
CHLI is dedicated to creating internship opportunities for college students from Hispanic Communities. Every year CHLI places the brightest students from around the U.S. in paid Washington, DC internships.
CHLI’s programs and events promote diversity of thought, the value of hard work and education, and celebrate the contributions and successes of our members, interns, and alumni.
A semester-long internship program featuring placement in Congressional and corporate legislative affairs office in Washington D.C.
The CHLI Communications Fellowship Program provides recent college graduates with the opportunity to assist in the implementation of CHLI’s communication and marketing strategies.
First and second-year law students gain valuable legal experience and networking opportunities with CHLI’s congressional, corporate, and law partners.
