WASHINGTON, DC – Today, the Congressional Hispanic Leadership Institute (CHLI) announced Aneiry Batista and Cesar Prieto as the 2024 Vermillion Award recipients. The Vermillion award is presented to two congressional members who support the advancement of the Hispanic community in the United States, have demonstrated support for CHLI’s programs and activities, and share CHLI’s dedication to bipartisan leadership.
The CHLI Vermillion Awards honor two Congressional Staff members, a Democrat and a Republican, for their service and dedication to their constituents and the Hispanic community. “Aneiry and Cesar have shown a true commitment to CHLI’s mission to advance the Hispanic community’s diversity of thought, and they exemplify the values of Stephen D. Vermillion, bipartisan leadership with a dedication to serving the Hispanic community and the nation as a whole. I’m proud to bestow this honor on Aneiry and Cesar and look forward to their continued leadership on Capitol Hill,” said the Honorable Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, Chairwoman of CHLI.
