On Wednesday, July 30, 2025, the Congressional Hispanic Leadership Institute (CHLI) held a special reception in Washington, D.C. to celebrate its  2025 CHLI Summer Law Fellows and their completion of the program. The event was hosted by CHLI Board Member Daniel Díaz-Balart, Founding Partner of TSG Advocates.

The CHLI Summer Law Fellowship Program was launched in partnership with the University of Miami School of Law in 2020. The program has become a unique opportunity for first- and second-year law students to gain real-world legal experience in Washington, D.C. CHLI’s Summer Law Fellows are exposed to legal work and forge professional networks through CHLI’s congressional, corporate, and legal partners, setting the stage for future leaders in law and policy.

This year’s event honored two outstanding fellows: Emilio Elias, who spent the summer with CHLI Advisory Council Member Tyson Foods, and Xaymara Diaz-Rosado, who completed her fellowship with CHLI Board Member Becker & Poliakoff. Both fellows shared reflections on their summer experiences, highlighting their professional growth, the valuable mentorship they received, and their commitment to public service.
