The Congressional Hispanic Leadership Institute (CHLI) is proud to announce that Paul Rampersaud, a Spring 2024 Global Leader, has officially launched NextGen Scholars for Change (NGSFC).
This 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization is dedicated to empowering first-generation students to thrive in public policy and government through mentorship, hands-on experiences, and resources designed to foster leadership and opportunity. NGSFC aims to create pathways for first-generation students in the Chicagoland area, providing the tools and support necessary to excel in public policy and government while preparing for leadership roles in Washington, D.C., and beyond.
Paul’s vision for NGSFC was inspired by his own journey as a first-generation student and his time as a CHLI Global Leader, where he witnessed the power of mentorship and advocacy in overcoming barriers to success.
“CHLI takes immense pride in preparing future Hispanic leaders. We also continue supporting the growth and supporting the growth and achievements of our alumni as they work to effect meaningful change” said CHLI President and CEO Mary Ann Gomez Orta.
