Susana Barraza is a first-gen Mexican-American from California. She was a 2018 Spring Global Leader with CHLI. During her time with CHLI, Susana had the privilege of interning for Congressman Henry Cuellar and Ford Motor Company. In fall of 2020, she began her career in public service supporting the cybersecurity workforce across the U.S. She’s Program Manager of the National Institute for Cybersecurity Education at NIST in the US Dept. of Commerce. Prior to her journey in public service, she worked in higher education creating pathways and providing resources to students across the Sacramento region. Her extensive experience in advocacy work for students and community organizing for marginalized communities has prepared her to serve at a greater capacity.
