
The Congressional Hispanic Leadership Institute (CHLI) held its Congressional Public Policy Briefing on Energy on December 10, 2025, at Florida International University in Washington, D.C.!
The briefing brought together a diverse group of energy experts to have a forward-looking discussion on how the United States can strengthen its energy future by advancing emerging technologies while maintaining economic growth, grid reliability, and affordability.

The briefing continued with our panel on “Shaping the Future of Energy”, moderated by CHLI Board Member, The Honorable Bill Flores, CEO and Chair of Serolf Technologies LLC. Panelists included: CHLI Board Members, Debbie Marshall, Manager of Federal & International Affairs at Chevron; Yvonne McIntyre, Vice President of Federal Affairs at PG&E Corporation; CHLI Advisory Council Member Kwame Canty, Managing Director at Edison Electric Institute; and Jason De La Cruz, Intergovernmental Affairs Manager at Dominion Energy. The discussion highlighted effective policies, financing strategies, and regulatory frameworks that demonstrate how economic competitiveness and long-term resource resilience can advance together to build a secure and reliable energy future.
The program concluded with an engaging Q&A, where attendees continued the conversation on how the United States can strengthen its energy future by advancing emerging technologies.
