Heather Kennedy is the Vice President of Government Relations at The Home Depot, the world’s largest home improvement retailer. Heather has served in a variety of positions of increasing responsibility at the Company over 17 years. She currently has responsibility for international government relations, federal lobbying and political activity in the Washington, D.C. office as well as state and local government relations across all 50 states.
Prior to The Home Depot, Heather was a legislative director at public affairs firms in Florida and Georgia, working in both state legislatures. Heather graduated summa cum laude from Florida State University with a BA in Business Management. She is a graduate of the Women in Power program at the Harvard Kennedy School of Government as well as the Public Affairs Council’s Public Affairs Institute.
Heather serves on the Board of Directors of The Home Depot Foundation and Chairs the Georgia Retail Association. She serves on the Board of Directors of the First Tee of Greater Washington, DC and Ford’s Theatre’s Corporate Advisory Board.
She lives in Arlington, Virginia with her husband Jacob and two daughters and enjoys coaching little league and playing golf.
